Can I order someone else's marriage certificate?

Under UK legislation, marriage certificates are designated as 'public records', and as such anyone can request a duplicate certificate to be produced. Our research team can usually locate a marriage certificate with very little information - sometimes only a single name! When you  order a replacement marriage certificate you will be asked for:

• The bride's full name (including any middle names)
• The groom's full name (including any middle names)
• The date or year of marriage
• The place of marriage (town/city as a minimum)
